Table created on 2000 Professional gets corrupted when opened in Windows 98

In Word 2000 running on Windows 98, my table (originally
created on Windows 2000 Professional) appears to be
corrupted: When I change the Zoom to a larger size than
default, the text data in the leftmost column of cells
wraps from a single line of text to two lines of text
instead of one. When I change the Zoom back to a lesser
amount, it appears to be correct again. Can this anomaly
be corrected in my current setup using Windows 98?
