I don't want to create a report. I'm trying to print a
table. When viewed in print preview the lines show, but
not when printed on paper. Could it be a printer problem?

John is right - a report is the only "correct" way to display Access data on
paper. In a well designed application, users should not even be able to
open tables and queries.

However, it's an imperfect world, so give this a go:

Go to Tools>Options and click the Datasheet tab. The default colour for
gridlines is "Silver" (aka light grey).

It's possible your printer is not good at rendering very narrow pale lines.
Try setting this colour to "Black".
