Table of Contents

Hi,
I am new to creating TOC's but I was wondering if there was a way to click
on the page number and have the document scroll to that page automatically.

My TOC was created as such:
Insert>Reference>Index and Tables>Table of Contents.

Currently the entire table of contents is in a shaded gray area at the
beginning of my document. I really don't have the option to click on the
actual page number at this point in time. Am I looking at creating
Bookmarks? Thanks

You should try pressing ctrl+click. So keep the controlkey pressed and then
click the mouse on the pagenumber.

Thanks, I can do that but I thought I could make it a bit more professional
by having the page numbers actually linked to the correct page. Is that not
an option?

I understand your wish but you are actually using a field reference so when
you try to add something you are referencing directly to the TOC-field. If
you want it otherwise I guess you have to create a TOC by hand and then
create hyperlinks or cross references in combination with bookmarks.
