Table relationships problem

I've just redesigned a flat database into 3 seperate
tables, linked in a one-to-one relationship with an
autonumber in each table as the primary key. There are no
orphen files, and I have enforced referential integrity.
I can even select cascade delete without any trouble.

When I try to select cascade update I get an error message
that reads "Invalid field definition recID in definition
of index or relationship"

Can anyone suggest any solutions?
