Hi all,

Scenario, Office Xp Developer, Access 2002.
Is it possible to prevent word from accessing tables from
the mail-merge wizard? have tried the hide attribute in
access but they are still visible?

Probably the way to do this is to use Access security and remove all access
to the tables, and only display the queries you want users to see --
remember to use the WITH OWNERACCESS option.

An alternative would be to use VBA in Word to remove the users access to
the mailmerge command, and create a form that offers them what you want
them to see.

Or just use a report: there is very little that Word can do that a report
cannot...
