Table size

Is there any particular number of columns in a table that, when reached or approached, impairs the functionality of Access? Currently, the largest table in my database has about 50 columns, but I may want to expand this particular table to 150 columns. Would there be any reason that expansion to this size would not be advisable

Thanks for any response

Access will cope with it, but it is probably not a good design.

Look at the columns you propose. Any repeating ones? They should definately
be in a related table.

Having 150 attributes to track is probably very common, but having 150
different types of attributes to track is extremely unusual. There will be a
better way to break this data down.
