When you caption a table or figure so that it corresponds
to the chapter, 1-1, 1-2, etc., then want to do the same
with appendices, A-1, A-2, etc, in the same document, you
can't. Is there a workaround, so you can do both kinds of
captions in the same document to link them to the TOC?
