Table Tools

Shows you how naive I am - have been asking in the 'reply' section! Can
anyone just tell me how to access the Table Tools - to merge cells etc. The
'help' section doesn't point the way, not Vista for Dummies! I have found it
before but it seems very elusive. Thanks

MS Access does not merge 'cells', in the meaning of taking two contiguous
cells, in a given row, to make one cell out of them, while other rows would
still show two cells. At least, not within a simple table view or from a
data view from a query.

What are you trying to do? Maybe there is other solutions than the one you
first come with, to the PROBLEM you want to solve.

No, in Vista, just in Office, a table, not a spreadsheet. There is a sign
TABLE TOOLS that appears over the right hand side tool bar, which enables
such functions as Merge cells etc. It must be so easy to find, but I
can't!!!!

Are you attempting to work with a table in MS WORD? If so, I would
suggest that you post your question to one of the Word groups and that
you specify the version of MS Word (MS Office) that you are currently using.
