table without outline numbering

Keith G Hicks

I often create specification documents using outline numbering. In some of
those documents I need to insert tables. But when I do that, the table has
the outline numbers (or letters depending on the level) in each cell. In the
past I've just manually deleted each one so that the outlining continues
after the table. But this is getting old. I'm hoping tehre's a good way
(other than putting the table in a text box) of eliminating the outline
numbers from the table.

Thanks,

Keith

you can save some keystrokes by selecting the table, then turning off
outlining from the Format menu.

Change the style in your table. Your outline numbering should not be applied
to the normal style.
