Tables and text behavior

Here are some sample pages , they are dumped on a test site so I wouoldn't wander off the pages linked

I am having trouble with a three column style, after I fill the left column, top aligned and then add the cnter column, the entire left column gets pulled down as the center lengthens

I am new to Frontpage but not so new to website building but cannot re-call ever having this issue before, the space seems like it was always left at the bottom portion of the unfilled columns if one was longer than the others

The first link shows how I wan it to look, nuice tight left column. I had to add a bunch of carriage returns below th eleft text to move it back up...is this normal

The second link shows the stretch with no additional carriage returns entered

Can this be "cured"

What you are seeing is normal.

The solution is to insert (nest) a table into the left and right cells, with zero border/padding and
no height setting for the table, you can set height via cell properties if needed. Make sure however
that left and right cells are set to top/left or center before inserting the tables.

Thanks Much, it was the top/left alignment of the original cells that I had neglected when I originally tried the nesting...fixed me right up.
