Tables in Word (for Mac) document aren't accurate in pdf

I have Word documents that contain many tables - these are fairly
straightforward but do have some dotted lines and as well as solid
borders. I am able to print to pdf using my Mac Preview program and
the document is rendered accurately and appears beautifully when viewed

There isn't much you can do.
I have observed the same thing before and lived with this Adobe "problem".

Even if you manage to make it look good on your computer (by slightly
changing the border thickness for example) there is no guarantee that
someone else with a different screen resolution and lower/higher quality
hardware will see the same thing you do.

Since the print out is of good quality (and this has always been the
ultimate goal in my case), I have never bothered to look deeper, so there
maybe a solution, but I do not think so.

Thanks for your response! It helps at least to know there's not a
solution out there I'm not aware of.
