Tabs for MS Project 2007

P

Pete

I work on project that have several projects internal and related to other
projects.

If you could have tabs as in Excel to different projects inside projects
this will make the working of MS Project 2007 easier for me to use, for
example first tab I would as a project overview from timeline tracking to
costs. Second tab would be site installation as I usually have between 100 to
250 new sites that need to be built. The next phase is installation of
equipment, commissioning, integration then into system.

Is it possible with MS project 2007 to have tabs?

Thanks,

Pete

Pete,
The basic answer is no. Whether some tabbing feature is incorporated
into future releases of Project is another story. However, remember that
Project is a scheduling application, not a spreadsheet workbook, a word
processor, nor a financial application. Each of those application has
their own unique features and format.

Meanwhile, there are several options to get what you need. One is to
customize views with filters and/or grouping to see only those tasks of
interest. Another is to create a consolidated master file
(Insert/Project). A third option is to create a workspace (File/Save
Workspace). Try one of those and see if it doesn't help.

Hope this helps.
