Window/ New window as often as you need, then Window/ Arrange ..., to suit.

In xl2003 menus:
Window|New window
Then
Window|Arrange (tiled, horizontal or vertical)
Window|New window
Then
Window|Arrange (tiled, horizontal or vertical)

ps. When you're done, you can select the window you want to close and hit
ctrl-f4.

In Excel 2007, View, New Window, Arrange all (others would be similar)

If you have a large screen then you can split the window and see multiple
tabs at the same time...
