tan color missing

I have been formatting the cells a tan color in Powerpoint
so that it matches the background color (tan); however
when I tried formatting a similar spreadsheet on another
page in PowerPoint today, the tan color was missing and a
gray shade took its place (second block to the right on
the bottom of the standard color grid). Even Excel is
messed up now, and the color is missing within Excel. What
happened?
