task approval problem

When a team member submits a task update, it goes to the user whose username
is the author in the document properties of the plan rather than the project
owner as defined in Project Server.

So if a project plan is created from an enterprise template, then all task
updates will go to the author of the template rather than the user that
created the project from the template.

Is this correct? Have I got the setup wrong?

This is a known issue. I don't know of a nice work around, you have to
change the field to the project manager...

It sounds like you are describing the behavior seen in Project Server 2007.
Assuming this is the case, refer the Project Server 2007 resolution in the
following FAQ:

Also, in the future, please tell us the precise version of Project Server
