Task Delegation by Resource Managers

Hi, All:

I am currently working on an enterprise implementation, and I have been
asked if there is a way to assign tasks at the Resource Manager level and
allow the Resource Managers to delegate their respective tasks to their
reporting resources. I know this is possible to an extent, but Project Pro
tends to complain when I attempt to utilize a given resource to several
hundred percent capacity. I realize that this is by design and in the name of
practicality (and indeed humanity), but is there a way to override Project's
utilization parameters?

Is there a better way to handle this?

The task delegation feature in PWA is a "one to one" delegation process.
This means that you can assign a task to a single RM and then he/she can
only delegate that task to one resource. Therefore, this means that you
should assign each RM at no more than 100% Units, indicating one person
working full-time. So, I don't understand what you mean by "utilize a given
resource to several hundred percent capacity." Please let us know more
about your situation and we will try to help.
