In Project 2007 PWA, how do you know if your task has had details entered and
submitted or not? I know there is a red exclamation point that shows up if
you edit task details and before you submit but after you submit and that
goes away, is there a way to see if you have edited task details, like last
edited date? Thanks.

Project Server 2003 had loads and loads of indicators that displayed
automatically on the View My Tasks page. I don't know if anyone ever looked
at them, but they were there for use in situations like you describe.

These indicators seem to have almost completely disappeared in Project
Server 2007, however. So, to the best of my knowledge, there is no quick
and easy way to determine if you edited task details and submitted the
update. Sorry.

Thanks. I think there is one way - not the greatest since it involves going
into each task individually. If you go into the Task details and expand the
Transaction Comments and task history, it lists the last time you submitted
and if it was approved. That helps a little.

Yup, that's about the only direct way to know. And it's a lot of extra
work, isn't it? :)

Unfortunately, yes. We are finding lots of little quirks like that along the
way. Makes life interesting, right?!

Yes, I have found Project Server 2007 more than quirky. In some cases, it
is downright buggy. In other cases, it appears that default features and
their consequences were not completely explored. I have been writing our
Project Server 2007 book for project managers, and at times, the writing
process has been terribly frustrating when I feel like I am FIGHTING with
the tool rather than using the tool. If you feel the same, then you are on
the "bleeding edge" with me! :)

If a team member has submitted an update which has not been processed,
it can be seen on the applied task update requests an errors page.
Also when you open the affected plan a dialogue box advises you. But
not sure how an administrator looks across the piste.
