First of all, you are using incorrect terminology. The Owner of a project
is the person who initially creates and saves the project in the Project
Server database. The Manager is the person who publishes either the entire
project or a set of tasks within a project. Each task assignment in a
project has a Manager and that is the person to whom the system directs task
updates from the team members assigned to the task.
To address your problem, I would create a custom Assignment view in PWA that
would show me on a project by project basis who is the Manager of each task
assignment. Here's how to do it:
1. Log into PWA with administrator permissions
2. Click Admin - Manage views
3. Select the Summary view in the Assignment section and click the Copy
View button
4. Give the new View an original name such as "Assignment Manager" and
click OK
5. Select the new View and click the Modify View button
6. In the Fields section, add and remove and rearrange the fields until you
have the following list in this order:
Task Name
Project Manager
Resource Name
Start
Finish
Project
7. Set the Group by value to Project
8. In the Categories section, add this new View to the My Projects, My
Resources, and My Organization categories
9. Click the Save Changes button
To apply this new view, click the Resource menu and then click the View
Resource Assignments link in the sidepane. Select the resources whose
assignments you wish to see and then click the Apply button. Click the
Add/Remove Resources tab to collapse the options, then select your new view
using the view selector pick list at the top right corner of the page. Pull
the vertical split bar to the far right to hide the Gantt Chart. Hope this
helps.
