Task Self Assignment

We are using Project Server 2003, and we have not installed SPK1.

I was told that the PWA function for a resource to assign themselves to an
existing task could be disabled; however, we have not been able to determine
how. Until we install and test SPK1, we would like to disable the function
since it has a "bug".

You can disable this function by doing the following:

1. Log into PWA with administrator permissions
2. Click the Admin menu
3. Click the Server configuration menu
4. In the data grid of features, scroll to the Tasks section
5. Set the New task assignment permission to Deny
6. Click the Save Changes button
