We have a case where a resource entered time on a task that was suppose to
start in the future (they had selected the wrong task). The PM accepted the
time and updated the schedule. The PM noticed the error when the task start
moved forward to the new (earlier and incorrect) date.
The resource fixed the time entry (by replacing the previously entered hours
with 0h). The manager accepted this change and updated the schedule. Some
weeks later the resource charged time to the task as expected.
Here's the problem. The task in teh schedule still has the earlier
(incorrect) start date consistent with the hours that were entered and later
zeroed. The Gantt display of the task starts on this earlier date and has
the split task (..............) indicator until the first set of actuals.
How can I get teh task to display the correct start date? I think I want to
remove the split that appears BEFORE the first actuals on the task, but it is
not clear to me how to do this.
