Task Updates don't look same as in project Professional

Hi,
A really strange thing:
Resources are updating their tasks through the PWA using "My Tasks" option
entering hours per day.
After Project Manager accepts the tasks, it shows at the resource usage view
in Project Pro.
The thing is that the resource usage view does not refelcts the correct
updates
(showing 5.23h insted of 5h and 2.82h instead of 2h etc' and dates are off
as well).
The organization is using one standard calendar and i have checked the
server configurations as well.

The application is project server 2007+ SP1.

Please help...

We have also start to experience future actual work in the resource usage
view ( resources do not report in the future).

We have been experiencing the same issue and have worked with
Microsoft on the issue and they indicated this as bug and Hot Fix
KB952000 (more recent than the April 3rd 950816) is suppose to resolve
the issue. We have been testing it for the past week and have not
seen the occurance, after seeing it rather frequently in our test
environment. I thought it had been released but I'm not seeing it on
the hot fix site.

Here is article info on what it is suppose to address.
Time Phased Actual Work not imported correctly into Project Pro if
using multiple calendars
- If a resource uses a different calendar than the Project calendar
and the project calendar is set to "Standard" then actual work
imported into the plan gets changed. In the repro scenario above, not
only does the work get spread differently than it was originally
submitted in PWA, but the totals differ as well.

Not sure if this our issue is the same as yours, but your description
appears very similiar.

Hi B Weed,
Thank you for your very helpfull answer.
I'm looking for that hotfix and was unable to find it in the microsoft site.
Do you know of a way to get this fix?

About the article:
We are using the same 'standard' calendar for projects and resources as well
so i'm not sure about that issue.

Thanks

ASuchi:

BWeed is apparently working for a large company with a premium support
contract with Microsoft and Microsoft is obviously working on a resolution
for this specific customer at this time. These do get rolled into hotfix
packages and offered to the general public after they've been tested. The
April 3, package is the latest published package. You can find information
about it, and instructions on how to obtain the package at:

http://www.projectserverexperts.com/ProjectServerFAQKnowledgeBase/Unknown Error My Tasks Page.aspx

Note that you can use the KB number BWeed provided and request that fix as
well, but the general support team may not even know about it yet. It all
depends on where it is in the development cycle.

I guess we are big enough that when we applied some pressure they
decided to react. I've asked for the date when this Hot Fix is
suppose to be generally available, as it was my understanding that
this was the April 22nd Hot Fix.

We are also still experiencing an issue where some Task time that is
approved by the status manager is not making it into plans as Actual
Work and is not updated in either the publishing or reporting
databases. They have identified it as a bug (after looking through
our environment and seeing it happen) but will not have a software fix
for it until after their next big release in July. They are suppose
to be working on a workaround, but I question whether it will happen.

Just wanted to get the info out as I'm sure there are others that are
as frustrated as we are with all the bugs and issues with Project
Server 2007 timesheet / tasks functionality.
