Task Usage View in PWA

M

Michele

We are using "role" based generic resources on all of our project plans. Is
it possible to create a view in PWA that mimics the task usage view from the
desktop version. As far as I understand it I can't get resource level
information from PWA but I am not sure.

Thanks - Michele

The closest you can get is to use the View Resource Assignments option in
PWA. Navigate to the Resource Center page and then click the View Resource
Assignments link in the sidepane on the left. Select the resources whose
assignments you wish to view and then click the Timesheet link in the
sidepane on the left. After doing so, select the All Assignments link as
well. Hope this helps.

Generic resource assignments are not published and therefore
timesheet/assignment views are not available. You could cheat by
removing the generic flag against these roles and making them project
server accounts but that may cause other confusion.

Have you tried making using of "View availability" in the resource
centre. By selecting your generic resources and clicking on view
availability you get both a graphic view of demand and a spreadsheet
detailing work down to task level.
