Task view in PWA

When I go to view my tasks in PWA it shows old task, deleted tasks.
Shouldn't it only show currently assigned tasks? As the project
administrator, how do I fix this?

Do you have the Current Tasks option selected in the sidepane on the left?
If you see deleted tasks, you can select each one individually and click the
Hide button to remove them from the timesheet. Hope this helps.

Thanks you for you response. Sorry for having sent the same question twice
(nutty day). I am in the current view when looking at tasks, yet I still see
the deleted ones. I assume from your answer that my only option is to hide
those tasks, yet can you tell me why they show up there?

A current task is defined as:

Any task that should have started by now but has not yet started
Any task that has started but is not yet finished
Any task that is scheduled to begin in the next 10 days

Even though the tasks were cancelled by the PM, it sounds like the ones you
are seeing meet one of the above criteria. I would recommend that you
simply hide them and go on with your work. Hope this helps.

That makes no sense at all. This is clearly a defect. How can a task that
has been deleted, and therefore no longer even exists, meet any of those
criteria. It is unmanageable and unacceptable for users to have to hide
tasks on their task list that have been deleted.

Yes, I know that it makes no sense, but that is how the software currently
works. Given this situation, it is easiest to teach team members to select
hidden tasks ans then click the Hide button. Hope this helps.

You can also address this through SQL queries if you want to manage this for
your users. Keep in mind that tasks that are there one day, and gone the
next, can be more confusion than unacceptable black Xs!
