Taskbar icons won't stay put

I add one to my taskbar and it goes on the end (lower right). I move it
where I want it. It stays put until the next reboot. Then it moves back to
the end.

If your computer is at work, your employer may have mandatory desktop appearance requirements. They can limit the changes you make so that it comes out everytime you log off/shut down. We limit our employees to minimize the possibilities of viruses, program corruption, and to keep a professional appearance. If it is a program where the taskbar icon is not supported, you may need to keep doing that as well.
