TaskPad not responding to View settings

I thought I posted this already, but I can't find it listed.

My TaskPad is not responding to view settings. For example, if I set the
TaskPad view to Today's Tasks, some tasks appear that are due in the future.
The tasks that should not appear have no settings indicating that they are
due on or before today, they are not recurring tasks. Why am I not able to
display only the tasks that are due today.

How can I display ONLY the tasks that are due today?

Version of Outlook? Are you using 'active tasks for today' view ?

Version 2003 (I knew there was something I left out)

This is what was happening: when I am using Today's Tasks, todays tasks are
displayed, plus everything before today, plus everything without a start date
including all the recurring tasks.

I think I figured it out. I filtered out the Start Dates (Start Date exists).

I am surprised that I had to do that. If there is an easier way, please let
me know.

Version of Outlook? Are you using 'active tasks for today' view ?
