Tasks Assigned to summary tasks

I have a project manager who claims to not have assigned resources to the

There is no way that resources could accidentally become assigned to tasks
in a project, let alone report actuals against them. I suspect your PM did
this accidentally, and doesn't want to fess up to it now. He/she should
immediately remove the resources from the summary tasks and republish the
project. Hope this helps.

Thanks. In the past, we've had issues with trying to remove resources from
tasks when actuals have been posted, with it not allowing the resource to be
removed. Any words of wisdom?

Select a summary task and then click the Assign Resources button. In the
Assign Resources dialog, select the resources assigned to the summary task
and click the Remove button. When warned about removing resources with
actuals, click the Yes button to confirm you really do want to remove those
resources and their associated actuals. Hope this helps.
