Tasks crashes in Outlook

I have been using Outlook 2002 for quite a while and all of a sudden now it
crashes every time I hit the "task" button when I want to go in and add a new
task. Anyone know why this is happening or what I can do to fix it? Thanks.

After furious head scratching, TLOTGWH asked:

Hi Milly-Thanks for responding. The message is just in the regular pop up
crash screen and says "Microsoft Outlook has encountered a problem and needs
to close. We are sorry for the inconvenience"

Has there been any progress on this - I've got a customer with the
same issue in Outlook 2002.
