Hi

I am using MS PS 2007.
I published a small project (~30 tasks).
Thru PWA team members can see their tasks when accessing timesheets via My
Timesheets views but view they don't see anything within My Tasks view!

How can this happen?
Thanks for your great help

It 2007 there is a new field called Assignment Owner that stipulates who
will get to see the assignment in the "My Tasks" page.

There is also a related field at the enterprise resource level called
"Default Assignment Owner" that stipulates that when the resource is
assigned to a task, who should be the default user that get those tasks
assignments in their "My Tasks". Depending on how you created your
enterprise resources, this field is either set to self or set to blank.

It sounds like in your case, it is set to blank for the resources you
assigned to the project. When the "Default Assignment Owner" field is left
blank the assignment owner defaults to the user creating the assignments in
the project schedule. If you are the person who created the schedule, you
will see all these assignments under your "My Tasks".

To fix this, you need to go into the schedule, go to a Task Usage view and
include the "Assignment Owner" field and set it to the appropriate resources
and republish the schedule.

Moving forward, make sure all your enterprise resources have the "Default
Assignment Owner" set to self.

By chance, do you see the task assignments for resources in this project on
YOUR My Tasks page?  If so, refer to the following FAQ:

If not, let us know and we will try to help you.

Another thing to try is go to the My Tasks page, click on the toolbar
icon that says "View Options", then uncheck "Show only current tasks"
- See if that fixes your problem, that screws a lot of people up <g>

I am seeing an instance where the Assignment owner is fine and filled in, but
the My Tasks section for everyone seems to in the wrong font color. What I
mean to say is that I can tell the list is growing as tasks are added but the
grid color is all white and therefore you can not see the tasks or any of the
column information.
