Information in my tasks were all deleted, message indicating that because
they were over 6 months old.

Where are these details archived once they have been removed? Thanks

Andreas, thanks you've located them for me.

Now, is there an option to forward them back some how or to browse and
determine which tasks require further work on?

Open the archive PST, locate the tasks, move them back to the Tasks folder,
and update them as appropriate.

Ive located the file, opened the pst file and have found the items.

How do I move the items into current tasks?

Thanks, resolved that issue.

Why would I have a outlook personal folder and then a personal folder. What
looks like appearing is that the information of the tasks are outlined in the
outlook personal folder and yet all the details of the tasks that I was
looking for were in the personal folder. Is it necessary to have to folders?

Good.

folder.

You can have as many PSTs (Personal Folders Files) as you wish.
What looks like appearing is that the information of the
tasks are outlined in the outlook personal folder and yet all the
details of the tasks that I was looking for were in the personal
folder.

Without seeing what you mean, I can't say. Sorry. However, there's only
one active Tasks folder (i.e., the tasks about which Outlook will remind
you) and that's the one in your delivery location PST.
Is it necessary to have to folders?

Where else would you store your items? At a minimum, you'll have the
Calendar, Contacts, Deleted Items, Drafts, Inbox, Journal, Notes, Outbox,
Sent Items, and Tasks folders because those are the ones Outlook creates
automatically in every active delivery location.

What it looks like is

archive
outlook folder (personal)
personal folder

The active tasks looks like they come from the outlook folder.

Is it necessary to have two personal folders?

That folder file (the Outlook folder file) should also be labeled "Outlook
Today" or have in its icon a little house, a clock, and a piece of paper,
when shown in the Folder List View. Whatever folder file is your delivery
location is the one that should be labeled "Outlook Today" or have that icon
and will be the set of folders Outlook acts upon. It will contain your
active Tasks, Notes, Contacts, Calendar, Inbox, etc.. Also, the one you
call "personal folder" should be labeled "Personal Folders" (plural) in the
Folder List View. The default display name (not the file name) of _any_ PST
is "Personal Folders", unless you name it something else. It, too, may
contain the default folders "Calendar", "Contacts", etc., but they won't be
where Outlook looks by default. The one labeled "Archive" is probably your
archive PST.

For any folder file you don't want to see, right-click on its root in the
Folder List view and choose "Close".
