Team Assignment Pool

Hi,

In Edit User page I see Team Details section. Where are teams names taken
from? And on what does it reflect? Isn't it not the same as Build Team in
Project Center?

this will be used if you want to implement the concept of Team Resource,
which means it will be used if the PM wanted to assign a task to a team (not
for a specific person), then the team leader or what so can redistribute the
task to one of his team members
to do you need to configure the following
- Server Settings==> Enterprise Custom Fields Definition ==> Lookup tables
==> Create new lookup table and call it for example Project Teams
- Edit the "Team Name" Enterprise Custom Field and make it using the lookup
table you have just created (this will be set only for one time, you can not
cahnge it later on)
- Go the Resource Details page
- Create one resource and call it for example "Developers", assing one
person as "Default Assignment Owner", let say you assigned it to "Andrie"
- to the buttom of the page you will find a checkbox labeld as "Team
Assignment Pool", check it
- Now the PM you can assing some tasks to "Developers" team resource, it
will go to you and then you can redistribute it
