I have a situation where I need to let team leads to
assign specific resources to tasks. Can anyone tell me the
best way in doing this.

You can assign those tasks to the Team Lead, then let them delegate
the tasks to the appropriate resources through the PWA.

What special rights will the team lead then need to know
what resources are available? Will this get out of control
if there are a lot projects and tasks?

JB,

One of the MVPs could probably answer this better than me. I've never
used the Delegate functionality. I do know that it follows the RBS
structure set up. The Team Lead can only delegate tasks to resources
that fall under them (report to them) in the RBS structure. As far as
permissions and such, someone else will have to answer. And yes, it
could get out of hand if your Team Leads are not properly trained in
how and WHEN to delegate tasks.
