Team member is unable to enter text in requested status report

My company uses Project Pro 2003 and Project Server

I requested a status report from 5 team members. One of the team members is
unable to enter text in the fields. He sees an "x" in the field.

I checked his "Global Permissions: Set user's global permission" to ensure
his "Submit Status Report" set to Allow, and his was checked, so I'm not sure
what is preventing the data entry.

Any ideas?

Does it work for the user on a different machine? Sounds like it could be an
activeX problem.

The user tried on a different machine and all was well. I see that as a
work-around however. Any idea on how to resolve the activeX issue?

Have an administrator logon to the workstation and install the object. You
can also register these manually. I'd go with the first option at this
point.
