Template - anyone succeeded with this one?

Hi,

I read a post about a templatebook so you can actually use a comlete book
for a template. You know the ones you can choose from when creating a new
book.

I followed the steps as described in the post (i believe it was a reply by
Kathy).
Created a new ON file. Placed this in the templates folder from OneNote and
expected is to show up besides the other templates. You guessed it; what am i
doing wrong here?

All the files in the template directory are called: Notebook01.onepkg,
Notebook02.onepkg etc. I renamed my notebook to Notebook12.onepkg.

Any tips that might lead to the appearance of my book in the templates
overview are greatly appreciated.

Ok, just found out what the trouble is. Should have placed it in 1043 instead
of 1033 and when saving it i had to check the radiobutton (this notebook)
instead of the default which will only save the current section.

So of to get my colleagues to use this one ;-)

Those are different formats (*.ONE sections vs. *.ONEPKG archives).
Changing the extension doesn't change the contents.

If you save the desired data as a Package file (File menu | Save As | Save
As Type: OneNote Single File Package | Set the appropriate Page Range) and
the put that resulting *.ONEPKG file in the correct Templates folder
(C:\Program Files\Microsoft Office\Templates\1033\ONENOTE\12\Notebook
Templates), that should work.
