Template for Task mgmt - anyone have?

Wondering if anyone has a template or db they can share that tracks tasks
within a department? I can modify an existing db, but looking for something
with reporting functionality, form entry for new tasks, etc....Anyone have
something like this?

I understand that MS Project is pretty good. If you don't want to spend
that kind of money you could browse www.simtel.com for demos and some
freebies.
