Template hyperlink

Hi

I have some .dot, .xlt and .pot templates that I link to in a html file
To get them to open as .doc, .xls and .ppt documents I had to create shortcuts an
link to shortcut.dot.lnk. For me who is using Windows XP and Office 2002 it works just fin
but for other users who are using Windows 2000 and Office 2000 it don't work
Can anyone please tell me why

Give us the URL of the page on the web site that links to
the doc, xls and ppt shortcuts. Also, can other users of
Windows XP and Office 2002 on their own machines make it
work? Lastly, when you say it don't work, exactly what
happens when the user clicks on your link?
