Templates in New Office Document shortcut

I have Office 2003. When I click on the New Office Documnet shortcut on my
desktpo, I only have access to a new Word Doc, or a web page or an email
message, nothing else. At work I have access to dozens of new types of
documents. How do I get that function on this computer?

Hi, My name is John from Microsoft. The New Office Document dialog
enumerates all the Office Templates and Documents that are stored
locally in your User Template directory. All you need to do to get
your templates from work to show up on your home system, is simply
copy your work templates to your home systems Template directory.
Here's the detailed steps to follow...

1. At work, copy all your Templates from your User Template directory
to a CD or thumb drive
2. You can find out where the template directory is in the following
manner...
a. Launch Word and bring up the Tools-Options dialog.
b. Click on the File Locations tab and you'll see a listing for User
Templates.
c. Double-click on the User Templates entry and a directory dialog
will show up.
d. Drop down the "Look in" control at the top of the dialog and you'll
see the hierarchical location of your templates directory. Usually its
something like c:\documents and settings\username\application
data\Microsoft\Templates\.
(Let me know if you want the registry location instead.)
3. In the File Explorer, go to this template directory and copy all
the templates and folders to a CD, thumbdrive or bunch of floppy
disks.
4. At home, again find your user Template Directory.
5. Copy all the Templates from your CD or Thumb drive to your Template
Directory.

That's it, when you launch the New Document shortcut, you should see
all your templates. Let me know if I missed any steps and I'll get
back to you as soon as I can.

Thanks,
John
