Templates not available

Rodney

When I go to new document the list of available templates is limited to one
tab and only 10-12 templates. When I drill down into folders, there are many
templates on my computer, but they are not showing on the new document list.
I noticed that all the templates that are showing are 97-2003 templates.

MS probably hasn't created that content yet. I would check again in a
beta version closer to the release.

Hi Rodney,

Are you using the older 'New Office Document' shortcut from the Start menu in Windows or are you using the newer
File[Office button]=>New choice in Word, Excel and Powerpoint?
The template categories (Office online) should be available on the left side of that dialog.

To be compatible with older versions many of the templates will be saved in legacy file format (.doc, .ppt, .xls) for now.

I'm not sure which list you are referring to. Are you using the
Microsoft Office Button/New and "My Templates"?

This should display the old File New dialog box. I can see all of my
templates and folders so this should be functioning correctly.

If so, do you have your templates and folders in your User Templates
folder? This location can be found in the Open dialog box by clicking
"Trusted Templates".

Otherwise, what exactly are you referring to? What steps are you using
to get there?

Please post all follow-up questions to the newsgroup. Requests for
assistance by email can not be acknowledged.
