Hi
I am trying to configure a web location to store my Word 2003 templates. On
the web server I have placed the .dot files into a sub directory of the
virtual web. The only permissions I have set are read access both at the
web server (IIS) and ACL level; the templates directory allows annonymous
access.
I open up Word, File->New I select Template On my Web sites... which pops up
the Open dialog box. I type in the templates document web (intranet)
location, click Create New; instead of getting a listing of the templates, I
get an error "Could not open <url>".
If I change the directory permission where the template documents so that
the directory can be browsed, word creates a new document with the listing
of the templates, so this doesn't help me either even if I Click+Ctrl. I
have not defined any custom workgroup locations from the Tools->Options
settings.
Does anyone know how I can resolve this?
