Am I correct that there is STILL not a legal pleading template available that doesn't need to be manually opened? I have been unable to open any I have found manually and it seems crazy that this template has not yet been created so I thought I better check first. Thanks!

Many of the PC variety can be used on a Mac, & that type should not be a
problem. Unfortunately they are downloaded as .cab files which have to be
decompressed - not just "opened" or have their extensions changed. Follow
the method prescribed here & you should have no problem:
