temporarily over-ride 1st. line indent

I format my memo's with a 'first line indent of 0.5'
How can I temporarily over-ride this first line indent for (say) one para ?
If I use 'left delete', to start typing from the left edge, 'Word' removes
the indent marker and I have to set up 'Format' again for subsequent para's.

The *best* way is to use two different styles, one indented and one not. But
if you can't drag the first-line indent back for a single paragraph without
affecting others, see
http://word.mvps.org/FAQs/Formatting/WholeDocumentReformatted.htm. Note,
however, that whatever you do in one paragraph will be carried forward to
any that follow. If the first-line indent is part of the style, you can
restore it by pressing Ctrl+Q (to reapply the style). If it's direct
formatting, then you have no choice but to apply it again manually.

It not ony answered my Q but got me thinking about styles. Good idea about 2
styles. Thanks also about the CTRL Q key which I did not know about (or
forgot)
Thanks, Crinkly Reg
