for other MS Office components, namely Excel, where I found a few
things missing from the MAC version 2004.

Hmm... FWIW, the one thing you mentioned (unless I missed others that
would constitute "few") isn't missing at all.

Word, Excel and PowerPoint.

Not sure I follow - you posted one (non-)missing feature of XL at the
URL you cited. Did you also post Word and PowerPoint missing features?
If so, I don't see them in the groups (or via google groups).
