Tentative to Confirm or Decline

If I have accepted a meeting request tentatively, can anyone tell me how I
then later confirm my acceptance or decline it definitively?

I am using Outlook 2003

If you open the request from your calendar do you not have the tabs to accept
or decline still available?
If not try going into the calendar entry and select Actions and the options
should be there.
