Text box border randomly print

I have a couple of text boxes in our letterhead that periodically will
print out with a thin line as the border even though I have the border
set to No Line. The borders on 2 of the text boxes will print even
though they aren't on the screen. I can't see a pattern as to when
they wil print.

We're running Word 2003. Out letterhead has a several text boxes on
it. The largest runs down the left side (8.53"h x 1.85"w) and has the
address information. There is another across the bottom of the page
under it with the company slogan (.26"h x 7.25'h). This one contains
only text. A third text box sits in the angle formed by the other two.
It has a .9x.9 picture in the left side and the box extends to the
right margin to preserve the white space beside it.

In preparing this question, I noticed that the left side box which has
been printing properly had a border set at No Fill. The other 2 had a
White fill. Is it possible that the White fill was somehow invocing a
hairline edge setting?

I'm going to try running with No Fill for a while, but if anyone has
other suggestions I'd appeciate reading them.
