Version: 2008 Operating System: Mac OS X 10.6 (Snow Leopard) Processor: Intel My mother is a college professor who recently saw a presentation where text could be input directly in a powerpoint slide while presenting. The presenter gave instructions for how to do this using the developer tab in the windows version of powerpoint to insert an activex text box. I can't find this functionality on the mac version. Any ideas?

Thanks

Unfortunately, that functionality does not exist on the Mac. What's
worse, alternatives that use macros don't work in 2008 for the Mac.

So could she downgrade back to office .X and find something like this?

Office 2004 still has VBA. In that version there is some functionality
to put notes on the screen, but it is not as easy as simply putting up a
Control Textbox (like you can in the Windows version). You can see an
example at my Web site:

You want to click on "Examples by Chapter" and "Chapter 6" and look for
Example 6.7.
