Text box formatting

How do you get the text inside the text box to be
centered within the box? The alignment toolbar option is
not active with my text boxes.

Sure.....Select (highlight) the text. Then go to the Font Color icon (Large
blue "A" with a black underline) and select white as the color. Only problem
is that you won't be able to see your text on the white default background.
I think that was what you were asking...

Change the background to another color -- print that with your Font "White".
It doesn't really print white... it just doesn't print any other color --so
your "printed" text will actually be the color of your paper!

Despite the intriguing advice of other correspondents, you can set the font
colour to white, but unless the printer has a white ink option it will not
print anything. Word 'prints' white on a coloured background by printing the
background only. If you have Word 2003, you can choose to print a coloured
background on white paper, but this is an expensive and less effective
option.
