Text Boxes do not print

When I create a text box and write text in it in Word 2000, SP3, the text box
does not show up in the print preview and also does not print. The text box
properties shows the line to be black and for the text box to be "in the
foreground." Any suggestions?

Set the line width.

In Word, click on Tools | Options | View | check the "Drawings" box and
uncheck the "Picture placeholders" box | Print | check the "Drawing objects"
box | OK.
