Text colour Word 1997

I have Microsoft Word 1997 on my PC and can't seem to be able to select
orange text for my documents. Does anyone know how I can customize my font
colour options so that I don't have to print out in yellow and then over
print in red to acheive 'orange'!

Later versions of Word have a full set of colours for fonts. It's a long
time ago since I used W97, but my recollection is that you can mix yellow
and red 50-50 by choosing one as the foreground colour and adding a 50%
pattern of dots using the other colour. Because of the way inkjet printer
work, the dots blend to the eye producing Orange.
