Text Effects and Sound file

I have inserted sound files into my slide using customized animation and have
embeded them in my file. Now I want to add effects to my text. Right now
sound plays first and then the text effects happen.

I want the effects to start when the sound starts. Any advice?

I am using powerpoint 2003

In your Custom Animation task pane, select the text animation then change the
timing to "with previous."
