Text fields not available to link to Pivot Table shape

I'm working on an application that plots hierarchical relationships from an
Access database query. I'm trying to use the new Visio Pivot Table thingy to
represent the hierarchy. I want to add some text fields to a Visio Pivot
Table shape - some attributes of the element I'm representing that are
available as query fields. However, only numeric values and the "Member"
label are available in the Edit Data Graphic. Anyone know whether it's
possible to display non-numeric data (other than the Member label) from the
query on the Pivot Table shape?
