Text Form Field retaining HTML format

Hi All,

I am using Forms in Word 2003. I want to cut and paste HTML formatted text
into a Text Form Field in Word .doc.

Is this possible? If so how?

Currently it simply slips back into plan text.

Thanks

Mark

Hi =?Utf-8?B?dnJ0c19nbWU=?=,

Form fields don't support formatting within the fields, when the document is
protected as a form. That includes when copying and pasting. You'd need to
unprotect the form, paste the text, then reprotect (button on the Forms
toolbar will do that for you).

Cindy,

Thanks for that much appreciated.

May I be so bold as to suggest this get's added to the wish list for future
versions? just a suggestion.

I have one of my guys working on a Macro now to unprotect the doc, open the
WEB Report we reference, cut and paste this into the doc and then reprotect,
all form one button push.

But thank you for wrapping up the question so quickly.

Thanks

Mark

For some reason, my brain overlooked the fact that you're using Word 2003. You
do know you can protect areas in Word 2003 without using Form fields. And that
the unprotected text in this case can be edited with no limitations? So
perhaps the answer would be to use these features instead of form fields?
(Because I don't think MS is going to modify form fields; I could be wrong, of
course, but things seem to be moving in a different direction. Rest assured,
the request has been made more than once!)
